10th Annual Dojo BBQ:
Our annual BBQ will be held August 11th on Saturday at 5:00 PM. All family members of current and past students are welcome to attend. This is a "Pot Luck" style event, so please bring your favorite dish, side dish, dessert, salad, veggie or whatever, to share. The Dojo will provide tri-tip and hot dogs, as well as water and soda. However, feel free to bring your own favorite beverage. There will be kids activities and swimming in addition to great company. We look forward to seeing all of you there! Oss!
Labor Day
The Dojo will be closed on September 3rd (Monday) in observance of Labor Day.
Sensei Fumitoshi Kanazawa Seminar
October 13th, Saturday, we will have the honor of hosting Fumitoshi Kanazawa Sensei here in Fresno for a seminar. Sensei is of the highest caliber and a world class instructor from the SKIF Japan Honbu Dojo in Tokyo. Class sizes are limited and Japan Ways students receive discounted pricing, so keep an eye out when sign ups open.
Training Gear Required
All students attending intermediate class must bring sparring gear to each class. There are no exceptions. Required gear are mouth piece, kumite mitts, groin protector for males and for students under 18 years you must have head gear and foot guards.
